We need to be consistent about this as teams were punished last season.

We need to be consistent about this as teams were punished last season. AGREED! Teams where forced to sell to sort out there debt! But for this season its been all about the fact the window was shut! i think reduce there stadiums to cover the debt before awarding EOS cash? Even though Malky himself could be forgiven for his, with the work load he has and especially for the new website! but hey he plays the game, so even he should suffer lmao. But it does need set in stone from now on! Sell players (window open) sell seats (window closed) or you will be penalized further!

Its just the fact that maybe some will demand the same amount of time to sort out their debt as teams have had this season.
Seats should have been removed right away or worst player auctioned/sold etc

yeah but you forget finances are manually done!
However with a new website, the finances would be almost instant?
so set it in stone now, as this season is the first season we have had to address this issue?

Sorry lads, never had the time to look at this, as andie said the problems came after the window shut, thats why all rules for every situation need to be correct for next season,
i never thought any team would be in debt come the close of the transfer window, so once ive completed the finances for the last games, any teams in debt will have there stadiums reduced until the debt is cleared....
this is the only way as no players can be sold after the transfer window shuts

We need to be more vigilant next season and avoid similar situations.

On top of a punishment it will also give them less money to spend

How about if a team goes into debt the debt is moved into a loan. The clubs finances are then moved back to zero. The loan value remains in place until end of season when the bank calls it in and DOUBLE the value is taken from the EOS income?
Example
Club A go into debt to the value of £1.5 m in week 4. The bank pay out a loan of 1.5m and the club repays 3m at eos.
Club B go into debt in week 8 for 500k. Then in week 12 for 300k. They pay £1.6m out of season end pot.
You can over spend but the cost of a short term gain is medium term loss.
Also do we need a League Treasurer to help Malky out with the finances etc?

Thanks. Also if a manager moves clubs mid season leaving a debt then this debt is settled from the new club.
As if Chris had a 1m debt at Spurs when leaving for Roma then Roma would pay the £2m immediately rather than Spurs at eos. Then the debt is repaid. If Roma did not have enough money to pay the 2m debt and needed a loan then they would pay 4m at eos. Managers then can't run from their debts.
