Hey Malky, Quick question.. If someone say bids for a few of your top players a minute before team sheet deadline, will it muck up your actual team selected for the next match. I have a team already just about selected for match one but have received a bid, bids automatically remove the player from the availabilty. This slightly concerns me. I have tested this with Porto and it seems that your players are only free for selection when the bidding team delete the rejected transfer bid, will cause mayhem if bids are placed before team sheet deadline day and the bidders don't log back on !!! Just a wee glitch Malky , hopefully a quick fix for you, if not then transfers would have to be concluded pre season maybe.

Me and Gazza took this concern to the test atm.
he bidded on my keeper and striker, although they appeared in my team they were not available for team selection. and even when i rejected the offer they remained unavailable for selection untill he acknowledged/deleted the rejected deal.
think you can see the potential danger of this bud :0

Gents, well spotted, this is indeed a problem. The idea of the block was so that someone couldn't accept a transfer at the last minute and leave you short of a player. However it didn't occur to me that the opposite could happen, a manager could put in a bid at the last minute and also leave you short. One thing to say though is that if this does happen, and you do nothing, your teamsheet WILL NOT be invalidated, because the teamsheet that Malky downloads is what appears in the bottom right box "Current Teamsheet". It's only when you click "Update Teamsheet" that the file is changed. If you were to click that (if you wanted to make some other change) then yes the player would be removed from the teamsheet. However, we obviously don't want to leave the situation like this. What's the solution? How about the player is locked out if YOU created the deal and are waiting for approval, but is not locked out if another manager created the deal? Then if you want to play the player that week you withdraw the offer. Comments welcome.

Yeah you should only be able to block your own player not another teams.

you shouldn't be able to do either, all players should be available at all times to play. If you have a player involved in a deal then it's up to the manager weather he play's him of not? If there is a possibility that the transfer will be complete before a game then he needs to be de-selected from your team manually.
Because there is no difference from another manager blocking your players, to you personally blocking your own?
Would suggest highlighting players in RED on the team selection page, who are involved in deals.

The problem I have is, I have just set up a deal myself and the player is no longer available for selection, it could take a week for that manager to log in or more importantly, ME! So any deadline wouldn't apply for either?
However, just getting straight to the point here! I was accused, warned and cautioned about throwing games, so at what point is it a good idea to allow ME to set up deals and make MY own players un-available??
or
those deals are valid! yet come team sheet deadline day I play T, Am I cheating or not??
Sorry not being a pain just trying to help!

if a deal is not completed by 22:00pm on a thursday night ie been agreed by both managers and so completed by admin then you would just have to cancel that deal to allow any player you have including in that deal to be available for selection again, contact the manager after that and work out if there is a problem or hold up and try again after Mondays matches to complete it asap?

So if real life comes into play as it does some times? loss of internet etc what then? is it a case of saying sorry wasnt online etc ?? then admin can check log in's etc?
or maybe after Thursday all deals are rejected automatic and must be re-submitted later if needed to complete??
Just off the top of my head though lol how about the first time a team fails to sheet, for what ever reason? they are played at the last known good team sheet submission or previous game? then T after that?? or is that asking too much from you guys?? lol
I'm just trying to work this out! I have already lost internet twice this year already and I am a bit worried if I do again, I can't cancel deals, can't submit a valid team sheet and run the risk of a second caution if that makes sense??

I would imagine their is a way to have all players free for the club they are currently sat in after 22:00 thursdays regardless of pending deals? If not is it possible for Malky to cancel deals freeing them up after the deadline?

OK guys as of now I have disabled the lockout of players when they are part of a pending transfer. Malky will not approve any transfers between 2200 Thu and when the new results are uploaded (every Monday). So you should have no worries about any of your players disappearing from the teamsheet at the last minute.
