Week 4 - Mon 17 Mar Feyenoord Res 10 - 0 Aberdeen Res AS Roma Res 3 - 4 Benfica Res Inter Milan Res 4 - 3 AC Milan Res Newcastle Res 3 - 3 Juventus Res
Min. 1 : (fydr) J_Mensah beats his marker ... He muscled him off the ball ... J_Mensah blasts it at the goal ! ... The ball moves through the air! ... H_Manzoni moves quickly! ... Can he get to this? ... GOAL !! ... H_Manzoni looks dejected!
Well it got a lot worse for Manzoni as he picked the ball out of the net another 9 times. A harsh lesson for the schoolboy, faced with two 22 rated strikers. So now my idea of building a decent keeper from a mere lad comes into question, will he put the whole reserve team in jeopardy? Time will tell.
Tremendous stuff from Feyenoord, two 10-0s on the spin. One of their 22 rated strikers will be moving up shortly, the other may last the season. But then they have two 21s in the wings...

Hi Dan,
Not really massively sure on the reserve league, I have seen my team and there are a lot of older players sat in there which makes me question whether that is using it to its full benefit. I am going to keep it going this season to see what I gain from it, but then I may look to start using the reserves to bleed youth.
Cheers Matt

Week 5 - Mon 24 Mar Aberdeen Res 6 - 8 AS Roma Res Feyenoord Res 3 - 3 Inter Milan Res Benfica Res 0 - 5 Newcastle Res AC Milan Res 1 - 2 Juventus Res
Both teams taking the elephant gun approach in our game, but Roma were worthy of their win. In usual fashion we're second from bottom but second highest scorers. If I'm trying to develop a GK and DFs, maybe I'm taking the wrong approach...

Feyenoord Reserves 3-3 Inter Milan Reserves
What a game this was. As has been the case in the reserve league so far, Feyenoord are not failing to deliver as another 6 goal thriller was on show today.
This was my first proper sheet for the reserves and I put more of an impetus on the younger players that I have got here, Vieri was back playing up front and it was good to see him grab himself another couple of goals today.
I would like to bring in 1 or 2 more youngsters through to the reserves that will be able to get game time until the end of the season but I will have to wait and see on that one, struggling to improve my first team so maybe that's the best way to go until the close season.

Week 7 - Mon 14 Apr Aberdeen Res 1 - 9 Newcastle Res Inter Milan Res 3 - 3 Juventus Res AS Roma Res 2 - 5 AC Milan Res Feyenoord Res 6 - 5 Benfica Res More classic commentary from the reserves commentary staff... Min. 92 : (abnr) E_Berkovic with a well-controlled run ... E_Berkovic has time and space! ... He tries the lob! ... R_Clemence claws it off the line ... G_Poll consults his assistant ... GOAL !! ... Too little too late for Aberdeen Res surely! ... Aberdeen Res 1-9 Newcastle Res ...Um yes, I think you're right there Another nightmare for Manzoni in goal but he can't be blamed for the 17 shots on goal that the visitors achieved.

Another hammering, looks like we're for the drop. Also an outside chance that we might concede 100 goals for the season. Is it the fault of the keeper? Quite a bit, yes. Here are the save %'s for each team so far this season:
fyd 83% nwt 83% bfa 79% jvt 77% asr 76% irm 70% abn 67% amn 60%
