Cheers Gazza, I am genuinely new to esms. However, when I was 15 ish, like to think I mastered 'Football Director' (1986 D&H games), it went well alongside homework. Huggard, Lawton, waiting forever to see if the spectrum would load the game in the first place! Those were the days! Then in spring this year joined/applied to Elite and one other. The other got back straight away....however it has a million teams and there are some less than desirable characters on it. I mentioned I had joined these online games to my brothers and close mate ( all played together, close in age), so they joined the other game. 1 brother was hounded out, as was our mate, because idiots on the game thought I was in fact all of them - which I wasn't. Anyway, I give it literally 7 mins a week, only playing it because 1 brother still there in top div. Unlike Elite. When I began, saw the format and thought ' doddle, looks like Football Director, nice and simple, that'll do me!'. However, I very quickly learned that it was, in fact, the complete opposite. And I suppose that's why most nights I check in ( still as a guest!) to see if there has been any activity. I do like to think i'm a quick learner though. Why have I just spouted all this? Hopefully to show everyone that they need not doubt me.

I see a very real problem here in that Juventus have been heavily disadvantaged. Having spent almost 29M on scouts, thinking they were mine, I would never have signed them if I knew they would be twinned. Also, had they not been twinned, porto and juve may well have done a deal with Crespo, say, for 12M. Add all that up, and the club loses out, whichever way you look at it. Also having read the scouts section in the Rules, I note the operative words are 'You' and 'your', and that only rejected scout missions are offered to other teams. I would be curious to know if a precedent has been set with a similar situation to this. I.e. was a duplicated player twinned before, or was the error rectified? Of course I will abide by the final decision regardless, I just want to know if we are adhering to the rules, or 'making them up as we go along'? not sure there is much disadvantage to your club tbh..... 1. If you had rejected him then it would have been no difference other than you would have saved 12m (whatever he was to sign) but would not have the player which you obviously bought for a reason. The player would still have been there to sign for me. 2. If he did not duplicate then the chances of me signing him from you were probably slim as I only decided last minute to sign the guy anyway as thought I would have a quick browse to see what was available, with my other striker injured I thought he would do for backup and could be ideal over my other backup as better striker. but before my player got injured I was happy with the other guy as got good passing, plus I was always happy to just play an extra AM instead of an striker if I was short up front. 3. Your player was not on offer at any point that I have looked, only offered to me after I bid on the unwanted scout. so you probably would not have even offered him to me. Obviously it is well spotted by you, but not sure what good will come from me losing the player and having to replay a cup game over something a little bit silly. Was just a missed glitch of some sort with players being duplicated somehow and been missed. What happens if this is not the only player that has been signed from a glitched duplicate? could be a massive hole to fill in then, finding out which players were indeed duplicated and what effect they have had for those teams. the season will be a complete shambles unfortunately But of course this is all down to the powers to be as for my part in the whole signing of the player..... all I can do is say sorry for not having the time to check out the players in such a depth to see if it was a duplicate

E.g. I'm Bayern - I scout/sign a player with L.Shaw stats. Great, I think. Then he is duplicated, and Real buy him. Bayerns advantage gone. I do agree that Crespo is a slightly different. But what if Werder had signed him last week, and he get's me relegated? The weird thing in all this, was that the night before you bid, I had put/taken off Crespo on the auction list. It was this that I thought had initially created the duplicate. Still might be. Finally, think of this - Agbon gets ok. Next season another manager signs a graet scout then creates a duplicate. I sign the duplicate. Controversial. I could sell you Crespo, Malky okays the name change - both clubs happy?

the unwanted scout was way too far up the list to be from you apparently putting Crespo up to have done it, plus surely that would make 2 Crespo's.
Yes it is a problem if some scouts are being duplicated, the problem is how many have happened like this?
If a player was duplicated of top quality then the team scouting him would still gain as loads of clubs would want him, the duplicate would go for way more than the scouted price. other teams would still be willing to pay big for the original but at the same time have a rough price outlined by the price paid in auction. We would probably notice such a thing straight off too as the player would not have been left so long before being bided on.
Obviously we don't want these scouts to be duplicated for many reasons, it will cause too many players the same and will also make even more players in the game.
so happy to see what Malky wants to do about it. also is duplicates something that has been sorted now? and is it something we need to monitor in case it still happens?

You make excellent points there. Mine is simply that I lose my 'exclusivity'. As said, I will happily accept any decision made here. If you did accept belated 'Crespo/Agbonlahor' deal, you would also be gaining abs? Looking for a solution that moves forwards.

T.Varynen Fin reserve FW, think there are 2 of them. Last season? Reserve twins less impact?
