Hi Lads
just thought i'd open a thread to see what if anything we would like to see changed in Elite Football League, not saying anything will happen but always good to discuss what people are thinking
a few things to kick us off are
Revamp the Elite League Or FA Cups
both are established tournaments but there are always thoughts of better formats etc
transfer deadline day where all released and unwanted scout missions are set to £0 on the auction list then managers bid from 00:01 till 23:59 with all winning bids getting the players
Europe and or World Cup
anyway lets here all your ideas

Increase in reserve cap
As you can see for last 2/3 seasons there has been alot of players 23rd+ released and a few teams loosing point due to lack of players i would be nice to see an increase this will prevent the gap from reserves to first team getting bigger. I understand you have scouts but gap is still there. I never thought id see the day that i would have to give up on players i liked or wanted just becouse they hit that dreaded number.
I also like the auction malck mentioned

I really do think you should put the transfer thing in for next season brilliant

Straight knock out in the one of the cups
Bring back T tactics
Something for the fact once a player hits 23 rated he is put on the scrap heap
Keeper abs saved up can be put into the youth keeper

GK position looks like hard work/luck? Allow teams to loan them out to 'out of game teams' for a rating related fee. After the season you get them back -improved or not. Suggesting this as in 4 seasons I have a problem - a problem which at the moment is only solvable by big teams with big money. Goalkeepers only.

Like the Scout release auction idea. It would be interesting as it would lead to player flood, and cash drain, which could lead to lower prices!

Thoughts/Reactions on here are like press conferences before and after the game. I think clubs should at least make the effort to attend, say, 3 of these per season.

I dislike the rush at the unwanted scout missions - it'll lead to the winners being those that are online at the right time, rather than those that are willing to pay the most.
I would much prefer to see the price reduced over time on unwanted scout missions the longer they stay there without a bid (e.g., 10% per week or something).
Alternatively, if they are unwanted, simply have them start at $0 always. Adds a bit of strategy - you can pay the price for the exclusive rights to have them now, or release them and take your chances on the market value.
I'm against any increase in the 23 limit on reserves - I think that'll just lead to continued ratings inflation.
I'd like to see a spread of prize money in reserves that rewards being in the higher leagues more. $3m for winning D2 reserves vs $3.1m for 5th in Elite reserves seems off balance.

I think fitness should not recover for mid week games. Under the current system you can play a player 90 minutes in the league, then play him 70 minutes in the midweek cup game and have him back up to 100% fitness for the next league game, whereas a team who has no midweek game the player would be approx. 96% fit for the next league game which doesn't make sense.
This would mean teams who are playing midweek would have more of a challenge balancing fitness and making decisions about who to rest etc similar to real life, rather than using midweek games to rest back to full fitness.

Mentioned it seasons ago about teams not involved in midweek games they regain fitness.
I also mentioned about loans being half a season aswell.
I think the above 2 will add or improve the game.
I would go as far as saying we should have a first team, reserves (no skill cap, that we manage)and a youth team (that we don't). We can develop our own players, there's no void in class and no training dodgy youth players.
But we would need to introduce wages and gate receipts for reserves also to keep within a reduced budget to stop the big boys from hoarding players.

Coupled with £0 auctions and gives 23 rated some purpose. Kinda makes sense.

Agree with the fitness thing. It's more realistic. See Dillons point also - it will effect clubs with fewer gate receipts, but again, that's also realistic. Possibly a vote?
