Been a great one for us, that's for sure. I'm not gloating here, just delighted to get a couple of brilliant scout picks! Especially after coming up dry last season! It's meant a massive overhaul in midfield, which is now complete, seeing experience from Chelsea come in, and a few good players going to the Chelsea revolution. Also, splashed out big for Platini, but well worth it in my opinion. Had a few offers come in, but they're always well under. I think if you want a player - go in large - as a lower offer rarely works. We've got one more mega bucks deal to hopefully complete very soon, then the work is done. Although that being said, always open to offers, lol! Also had fun watching (and learning!) the other clubs re-structure. Celtic sort out their Goalie position nicely, and swiftly! Marseille get in one of the games best young strikers, Bayern getting the players in to improve already, Santos solve their GK dilemna (almost got Bojan n co, oh well!!), Aberdeen on their way to a completely different starting XI, and good seeing some of the new managers getting to grips with game.

Good to be able to give a proper recap of all we've done so far this preseason!
Youth Development has been given a revamp this offseason so we're pleased to be the standard bearers for trying to show the value of investing in youth.
Parting with M_Kozakic was a difficult decision but ultimately I felt I had to pull the trigger having brought Rafael in on loan who can make a stronger short term impact and improve our starting XI.
We also managed to sell on C_Irvine to Manchester City for £40 million shortly after scouting him which helped us to further upgrade and we've reinvested all our proceeds to now have the best youth academy in the bottom two tiers. That's a real massive achievement given the short time I've been in the league with PSG so far.
We have a lot of young players who won't make the grade, especially after failing at a higher level (most of our pickups were released by Marseille for good reason it seems) but I think guys like M_Macey, W_Frost, L_Brady and J_Aliadiere all stand a solid chance of making a name for themselves and all of these guys were scouted. It's a case of hoping they can get up to speed quickly enough and make use of those added season end bonuses that we've got from our youth academy, then going back next season and using the increased scout missions to reload going forward.
With regards to the first team I'm just trying to snap up value where I can find it. 26/25 players aren't necessarily going to be the centerpiece of a starting XI but my hope is that in a heavy rotation we can outpace our opponents over the length of a season. If I can put eleven fresh guys out there that'll beat out a team that's more talented but suffering from fatigue.
At the end of the day my expectations are low going into the first season. It's been a long time since I managed in an ESMS+ league but it's been positive so far. If we can have a good cup run I'd be happy. Getting into the playoffs with all the changes we've made would be dreamland.

300m spent on academy upgrades speaks for itself. PSG, Man City and Bayern all upping theirs hoping to develop the next star. Big investment, and with some of the prices for youngsters rocketing, it's clear to see it's a popular move. It will be interesting to see if other clubs go down the same route.
