I always wondered why we don't simply play runners up against winner for all of the second round matches. Why do we have six matches like that and one winner v winner and one runner up v runner up? I'm sure it doesn't make much different, but it is rather odd

It just a 'random draw' mate
im sure who ever win it will be worthy winners

Ahhhhh.... That explains it. So it's different every season? You're right; you'll have to beat the best to be the best.

i always thought it should be winners play at home against runners up of another group.
that way your rewarded for actually winning your group??

Yeah. I'm a bit gutted about winning the group and playing away to another group winner

I agree with that, spicily is cost me the money now to play on the cups, all my matches are away so no advantage and no cash and some team have lots matches at home,

I totally agree with Ahmed and Andie on this. If we want to make it random, we could scrap the seeding for the group draws. Teams that win their group have to be rewarded with a home tie for the next round against a second placed team.
