Juventus 3 - 3 AS Roma

N_Gomes (15) A_Cannavaro (23 og)
L_Modric (Juventus) (man of the match)

This was a thriller of a match with loads of goals. Both sides second-guessed each others tactics. Roman managed to get in front after an own goal by Cannavaro, but Juve had grabbed the lead twice earlier in the match through Modric and Gomes. It was Modric who managed to salvage a point for the home side when he slotted home from close range after 31min; this earned him the man of the match award. Looking at the stats, Juve were the more productive up front, but Roma saw more of the ball. Overall this seemed a fair result, but neither manager will be pleased about the seven yellow cards!

Real Madrid must be kicking themselves after loosing a two goal advantage. They had a great start with Marcos and Fleck giving them the lead. Having lost their keeper through injury, Ahmed brought on two more defenders and went defensive, but they just couldn't deal with the onslaught of Nistelroy who scored immediately as Real reorganised. It didn't take long before he'd brought Inter level, but the matched died down after that. We had an excellent 33 minutes with the rest of the match rather dull. Fair result on paper, but Real know they should have grabbed all the points after a perfect start. Difficult times ahead with their no 1 keeper out for the penultimate league match against the mighty Bayern.

Bayern Munich 2 - 0 FC Porto GAME OF THE WEEK

HT: 1-0

Porto set out in usual manner with six at the back, hoping to close the German attack out. Bayern managed to break them quickly and grabbed a great goal through Sagnol after two minutes. Porto saw much of the ball, but didn't create much up front. Bayern just followed the flow and grabbed another one from Del Piero with 77min on the clock. Only a point was needed to seal the title, but Bayern have done it in style. Porto were the early contenders, but have slipped in recent weeks. Their fight is for second place, but even that may prove too steep a challenge.

Barcelona 0 - 2 Rangers FC

Saruman (Barcelona) (man of the match)
HT: 0-1

Rangers have had a good few games against Barca this season and made it three out of three wins with this one. Barcelona had home and tactical advantage, but couldn't put them past Dudek. Pele and Morison must be kicking themselves after seeing 10 attempts on target and 15 go wide. Podolski and Seitaridis showed great efficiency up front, especially Seitaridis with one attempt and one goal. Questions must be asked about Proto, the young Barca keeper, who has not lived up to expectations after his promotion to the senior squad. It is still technically possible for Rangers to see another season in the top division and with luck on their side, you never know. Barca have some tough games coming up and desperately need some points.
