He's not quite of this quality: H_Lloris 17 fra 29 7 5 7 14 771 300 300 334 he was capped at this point? So the only abs he has got is through playing!

I think Lloris was a special case which is why he was capped. Now it's easy to build a keeper to this standard which Bayern have proved with: L_Fabianski 20 ven 29 8 4 7 14 499 300 300 300 I don't see the need for capping keepers any more.

Loris was only capped after this season when he hit skill 33:
H_Lloris 18 fra 32 7 5 7 14 267 300 300 334
By the time mine reaches skill 33, I'm sure he won't be 21 or under anyway.

Actually Lloris was capped when i got him. and other keepers who are 21 and under at skill29 do need to be capped as the bonuses are insane!

H_Lloris 17 fra 29 7 5 7 14 771 300 300 334 CAPPED It certainly didn't hamper his progression as he jumped straight to 32 the following season; 2500 ability points. That doesn't look plausible to me. He must have been averaging almost 114abs per match as he had 22 matches and made 135 saves. That's doesn't make much sense. The previous season from age 16-17 he went up one skill level. I think you're just jealous that I didn't give up half my squad to obtain a decent keeper

I don't mind that you have a descent keeper, I paid what needed to be paid to get mine! As will anyone who wants yours, will pay a lot.
my keeper is progressing at a good rate because of the team he is in!
No dodgy formations, players out of position, no EOS bonuses, don't even have to throw games to progress him.

I play so my players can make the best of the time they have on the pitch. If you look at the final table for the reserves, I've done fairly well: Pl Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Rangers_FC_Res 14 10 2 2 49 12 37 32 2 Bayern_Munich_Res 14 9 5 0 41 21 20 32 3 FC_Porto_Res 14 8 2 4 37 28 9 26 4 Barcelona_Res 14 7 1 6 50 61 -11 225 AS_Roma_Res 14 5 2 7 34 38 -4 17 6 Real_Madrid_Res 14 5 1 8 43 47 -4 16 7 Juventus_Res 14 1 5 8 12 36 -24 8 8 Inter_Milan_Res 14 1 2 11 16 39 -23 5 You may notice that I scored the most goals in this division, so surely that can't be classified as throwing games.

By buying lloris you fund the "cheaters", no different to buying blood diamonds

Bryn Lloris has made 2500 abs in 1 season or close to it.
last season: H_Lloris 19 fra 33 7 5 7
this season: H_Lloris 20 fra 36 7 5 7
however his progression will gradually slow down the better my defence get?

I certainly think it needs looking at, teams are currently penalised for their keepers not getting much action. I think we all would agree keepers are increasing at an unfair rate, so maybe a rule should be put in place for this. Quick example Keeper concedes less than 10 goals = minus 0 abs pts 20 = minus 500 30 = mius 1000 40 = minus 2000 50 = minus 3000 Numbers just included as an example, but do think managers should be rewarded for conceding less goals. This season I'm considering getting my keeper max exposure, it's not right I agree but why shouldn't I set my future in the game up like others??

Tbh I am considering the same. Won the reserve league yet got few defensive or keeping abs. So next season no defence and looking at an abfest for my keeper.

Totally agree with John on this, I think keepers need to be looked at again.
Carn't understand a keeper conceeding a shed load and get rewarded for it!
The restrictions etc that malky put in place was to stop youth players gaining too much to quick and to try and stop managers from putting it bluntly taking the mick!
I put together a reserve team full of 10/11 rated players and each season bring in 1 player per position. Those players gain good abs, as good as most 1st team players. I dont have to play players out of position or dodgy formations, to give them maximum exposure, i dont even have to promote them for cup games. To me that is good natural progression and i still manage to be competitive, finishing 2nd proves that!
It took me 3 seasons to set up my reserves like that! I also used the same set up for my first team bringing in young 19rated players and 1 top player per position.
