A lot might come down to the quality of the keepers... Which doesn't bode well for me...

Don't think you've got much to worry about mate... I will be playing a 15 rated keeper this season. Well hopefully 16 rated by EOS but if things go badly he might be 14 rated!

Kind of finding the reserves pointless these days, in terms of winning things.
All you have to do is look at the keepers to pretty much know where teams are going to finish.

It's not right, there is to much a gap, I nearly brought a keepers with 2 years left in the game to llay in my reserves this year and then thought, is that really how I should be using my reserves but I know know there is no point in playing tactically as I did last year in the hope of promotion and instead just play for abs.

Well yeah you can play for prize money or you can play for abs... as you can see from my keeper I'm doing the latter. Hopefully he's not so rubbish that (a) he doesn't develop and (b) he hinders the development of the other players. Else I might have to rethink. But I have 2 good keepers aged 26 and 24 so I have no need to build a great keeper. Maybe this is a reason to loan in a reserve keeper rated 25-26...

I'm in the same boat Dan, Fabinski is around for years, so I probably don't need to think about building a keeper for 5 years. So why am I??

Yes I'm just hoping to make a small profit on him. But we're talking maybe 5-10M profit over about 7 seasons. It's not much but it's free money. It might be better to loan in a reserve keeper and get paid for it, and win some reserve prize money at the same time.

Week 2 - Mon 17 Feb AC Milan Res 3 - 5 Aberdeen Res Benfica Res 1 - 2 Juventus Res Feyenoord Res 2 - 1 Newcastle Res AS Roma Res 3 - 1 Inter Milan Res
Nice to see our development striker Templeton banging in a hat trick to turn around a 3-1 deficit, and the lad Manzoni in goals making a useful 12 saves. Otherwise, a pretty quiet week by reserve league standards.

Guess a bit of both to be honest. I am kind of developing younger defenders and midfielders for next season so that I can play them in my senior squad.

Week 3 - Mon 3 Mar Aberdeen Res 8 - 6 Benfica Res AC Milan Res 0 - 10 Feyenoord Res Juventus Res 2 - 1 AS Roma Res Newcastle Res 3 - 4 Inter Milan Res
A couple of goal fests there. Feyenoord played against only 2 DFs for most of the game, interesting to see Vieri outshining his strike partner rated 4 higher. Great game for us, sealing the win with two goals at the death. Schoolboy keeper Manzoni put in a decent 17 saves, this is fantastic experience for him. Feyenoord and Juve keep their 100% record... they were the prediction for the top 2.
