selling there weakest player wouldnt generate enough cash to keep them out of debt, as more likely they will just be released as no one would buy them. plus with some teams it would mean they would eventually have less players before the debt is solved and im sure theres a rule somewhere about being fined for not fielding a full team, but saying that this rule has never had to be enforced! YET!
but im sure it was there best player?
just thinking out loud?

For once, I disagree with you Scott. We can't destroy a club because of one managers stupidity. Some clubs only have one good player?!

Usually if people go in debt, it's only by a few thousand, not millions! How can you justify selling a player worth 50mill to make up 50k?!

With a 50k debt that's not too difficult. At least when the transfer window is open. However I see a problem clearing the debt by yourself when the transfer window is closed. What are the options to make some money in that period?

There are no options, if managers think they may be struggling for cash after the transfer window has closed they need to bring in the extra cash to cover that period before the transfer window closes, if they dont, who's fault is it.....mine? so if they get into that position and get a fine or points deducted they can only blame themselves. so id say to managers to look at how many away games they have after week 10 nearer the time, and look at your finances

Yes it's up to the manager to manage not only the team, but finances, squad size, stadia, bringing on youths etc , not just about selecting a team .
Hence the reason most managers should keep around 2-5m in their balance, it keeps the head above water.

I am always close to being bankrupt, but its the risk i take to ensure i get as much as possible transfer wise for my funds.
Sell the best player for definate!!!! Unless its me of course, but just incase, the player i would say is my best would have to be rodriguez, just so we are clear on the matter :-)

Couldn't we introduce a bank that could lend money and freeze the clubs funds during repayments?

Would it not just be a suitable player for the debt?
If debt is 1-500k then a youth or 18 rated player 500k plus good level youth or 19 rated etc
Surely something like SCOUT VALUE / 2 >= DEBT ??
