what a load of %%?" rubbish......... playing a younger keeper is not weakening your team, just playing for the future. Although in this case it is for someone else, but he is getting a deal out of playing his players for him.
it is like saying managers are weakening their team when they play a young lower rated player who in all fairness needs the game time to improve

So how are you ever going to be able to build a keeper? The deal obviously involves him having to play the players whenever fit and not suspended. I wouldn't mind playing him myself and taking the relegation so I could build my youths easier.

If want to develop your keeper you pay the price, I loaned mined out and paid 20m for someone to take the hit, but its their choice and he will be their best keeper, so that's a deal that's ok.

I'm paying a lot more than 20mill in this deal. Yeah it's all good and that, but the issue is that Newcastle are playing a keeper worse than the one they have, the deals fine, it's just the precedent has been set with Man City being punished. I've got no personal issue, as like I have said I am in a similar situation with my young keeper, but I approached a team that I thought my keeper would do well at and someone that actually needed a keeper. Paying a decent price makes me no saint, just thought my own deal out a little bit more carefully.

Come on Scott, you didn't even play your 2nd choice keeper.
What is the Kane deal, you are giving him to Tone after this season??

Yes, Rugs, provided he plays the loans as agreed.

I don't see the issue, to be honest. If I kept him, I would play him in the Elite. He's too good not to be played and a 'better' than all the other keepers in the game age to skill ratio.

Yes, Rugs, provided he plays the loans as agreed. Decent offer then, although it would have to be to play the keeper I suppose

As I said, I'm happy to cancel this deal if the terms can't be met and play him in my first team and keep my 39 rated keeper on the bench.

The point is that he is still playing for the future of his team with the player he is going to receive for doing so. His own keeper is on his last legs anyway and can not miss out on gaining abs etc. Completely different to weakening your whole team for a cup game with not even choosing your second choice
