As the man has clearly had enough, shouldn't we be moving on to some form of selection process. My proposal would be that once there is a list of candidates, we have some kind of vote. I would suggest a preferences style vote and that it be an open ballot. This would enable tactical voting from rival managers. And 100% transparency.
At the moment though, there are only 2 people who have indicated interest - when clearly there are at least 5 men who could do the job.
Obviously, this all hinges on whether or not GW is swapping. But after the days' posts, I cant see how his job is tenable. Every sensible comment (and 1 of Scotts'!) cannot be argued with. Clearly, well, in my mind at least, somebody else needs to test themselves in this hotseat of a job!
Now for a 'season and a half 2 star Generals' ' point of view! Loba recently demonstrated how he can move on from a battle and concentrate on the War....big Leadership qualities there - which would stand him in good stead at Real.
Then Matias - a solid character who runs a solid side - would do what is required to remedy the situation.
But I also see the likes of Winzor, John, Chris and Scott also being very capable of doing this job. - Both Porto and Everton haven't got half the resources as Real, yet look at them. Chris, I think does some fantastic deals - with many managers - which has to be an asset for a club like Madrid. Finally Scott. The job might make him focus his energies solely on making them the best team in the game - which is doable.
And When you add in the 'Bayern' factor, I reckon you need someone who can stand up to this Leviathan! Remember new boss, he is your RIVAL - i.e. don't trade with them/ be all pally with them -
Just some brief points.
