if a team plays for a draw and gets it fair play.
it might be 2 points lost but it also means 2 points away from the top team as well.
i think every manager has this dilema on ocassions, by that i mean teams shutting up shop. if you want to win then you have to try and find a way of getting through.
scarey part is steve if all teams play that way against you, then your looking at 7 points in the back half of the season (at least or most lol) would that be enough for promotion and much needed cash for your club?

its not just that, id proberly get fed up and leave the game, ive looked forward to results up untill now but the last 2 games have been dire
id completly understand but ive never heard of managers playing for a draw becuase of the manager they are facing, no manager has ever had that effect on me u shouldnt show ne manager that much respect, when u come up against a top sqd i see the need to play defensive as u cant find a way to win cus ur sqd doesnt match up, every one should have enough faith in there ability to beleive they can win when there sqd is on par

if you where in elite or division 1 every manager would play that way as they know it p1sses you off. plus a 14 point season isnt going to get you far lol
one way of deleting your competition lmao
but know wot you mean i play to win all games even if the odds are stacked against me.
but lets face it if man utd and plymouth played in the FA

cup you would like your boys to have a go, but if they shut up shop and played for a draw as a fan you would be pissed but happy (real life) lol
so as a test to any manager we need to learn to play against this shit, instead of declearing everyone bottlers to play the way we like lmfao

LOL
So now Steve does not like N tactic nor the D & L tactics - maybe we should all play E,P,A,C each game just to keep Steve happy - 5 at the back and a D tactic means I wont concede seen many a 1-0 win with the teamsheet like that.
Take the point and try to snatch a win - my competition this season is not Madrid nor Chelsea but everyone else - if I take a point from Madrid and my other managers dont then I am a point better off - do that twice and I am two points better off than them.
At the end of the season if I survive relegation by one point then will anyone remember how I did it or just that I did?

i agree with you garfy and as from next week my approach to this game will be totally different, tatics, formation wise hopefully most of my games this season i should/would have won but have not due to my disrespect to the other teams NOT MANAGER'S.
What i mean is trying to score as many as possible and not even think about what the manager mite play and how would i approach tottenham if i was some one else.
so expect a totally differnet attidude from me from now on guys

i dont think u people even read my post, i understand people playing D against a tough sqd but my sqd sucks, ur playing D cuz of me?? doesnt make ne sense, if i play a good manager i wanna beat them, if or when i play andy or gazza or ne of the other top managers ill be doing all i can to beat them not play purly to get a draw which reqires no skill at all
suppose if people are happy to just take a point off me its fair enough, just a shame thats all, im realy not that good that i cant be beaten by teams with better sqds than me

What can I say, when a manager of your calibre is about it has to be done.
Saying that though, your the only person ive seen have over 10 goals stuffed past them, but your right, your the best.

none. but i make no claim to be a great manager, and i never have done.
how many teams have you led to glory and then quit once the stars retire? leaving them with no continuity? Oh no i forget, youve never done that have you. We must all be imagining things again.

Oh no i forget, youve never done that have you. We must all be imagining things again. so uve done the oposite to me then, i left a poor team after wining titles while u left a great sqd winning no eliete title i suppose where both happy as i play to win which ive done and u play for making great sqds which uve done i just dont see what u get out of the game just seeing some higher rated players in ur sqd but not actualy using them to win matches but i put my hands up i couldnt do what uve done and make a great sqd full of young players, so ive no choice but to win my own way and bring in older players to do the job, its not like i can stay at a team forever just so i dont get moaned at for leaving a sqd in a bad state

i get the buzz from getting the deal i want. as it stands with inter, there are no deals possible to make to improve their squad.
Winning doesnt do it for me, if anything, its almost an empty feeling afterwards when i have won anything, has never lived up to what i thought it would do.

for me theres nothing better than the feeling u get after waiting all day for the results than confirm uve won the title or a cup
ill either spend all day checking my email or rush stright onto my pc to check my email after a days work, nothing better than the feeling u get when u know ur the best manager in the league that season at least
i used to get a great buzz from dealing back in the day, but its mostly down the the stupidity of the other managers, after so many years i dont have the motivation to chase up deals ne more
