Firstly it's great to be back in the big league, The big question will be can Rangers stay in the division as we rightly have gained the 'yoyo' tag (Thanks Loba!)
I am thinking that we can mount a challenge for the title, and don't think its unreasonable looking at our squad, I decided despite big offers for many of my players not to sell and go for broke and try and win something.
Rangers received a massive 101m offer for a 17 year old superstar and this has helped fund our level 3 academy which will increase to level 4 possibly later in the season or next season, Academies are definitely the way forward it seems, and with an ageing squad we had to move with the times, great to see so many teams also going with this way of thinking.
One or two players have been moved on with one or two still to go, want to cut our wage budget but keep the core strength, this will allow game time for every other player in the squad.
Bovan was the only major signing we have made young 17 year old midfielder has already attracted attention and indeed been the subject of a good offer, we will listen to all offers as no matter how settled your squad is and what your plans are, at Rangers every player has a price.
Onto the league this season, my favourites for the title will be Celtic, closely followed by Real Madrid and Santos, the chasing pack will be Marseille Barcelona Bayern Osasuna and hopefully ourselves, outside bet for the title are Osasuna, just looked at their team and realised how damn good they are, when did this happen ? !
Looking forward to week one in the league and hoping we get off to a better start than last seasons 4-0 mauling from Valencia
ianmcnamara: Can't believe we're in this posision with two games to go. We just silently crept up on Everton and capitalized. If I end up taking up a new challange at the end of the season leaving Schalk with a title win would be the perfect way to end my time there.
