Congratulations to Bayern Munich. After three successive finals, it's a well deserved victory and the third trophy of its kind in their cabinet; a great achievement. It could easily have been more as this is the sixth time they've been in the final for this cup. Well done to Celtic for getting to their first League Cup Final and putting up a real fight. After managing to keep Bayern at bay for so long it's always hard to loose from the spot, but it was a deserved victory in the end. Luckily for both sides, there are no injuries or suspensions ahead of their vital final league matches where they'll both be fighting for their survival. Bayern, however, do have some fitness issues that may back fire on them. Maybe these sides will be seeing more of each other next season

Happy to win my third league cup trophy, after faling in the last two finals. Think the best team won in the end, as there really was only one team in the game, but Dave was resiliant and held tight, against a stronger team with tactical advantage. Looked like Celtic were going to edge it when only needing to convert one of two penalties at the end to win his first cup title. But it wasn't to be and they went on to miss there final three gifting Munich the cup.

Only to my second string, rested a couple of big guns in the final with one eye on the league game, just about worked out in the end, although with Helardo in fine form maybe he will be missed, along with the ever impressive Davids. But these are not first teamers and will be warming the bench. Only first teamer to be facing a late fitness test is Phelan, but rumours are he may be rested with an eye on adding more firepower to the team, an area that has seen Munich struggle at times this year.

You've worked your defence well and look really good at the back for your final game. Good choice.

Never nice to lose oon penalties, particularly when you are the underdog. We were never going to play expansive and free flowing football as our midfield is one of the weakest in our league let alone the one above. I pleased with my team as they did all I asked of them until the final couple of penalties when we went from a winning position to handing it over on a plate. Well played John, another cup to your cabinet.
