Good win in a close match that could have went either way, three points are massive in this division, a good league week for us, massive result for Villa !

Cheeky win for Valencia to avenge the cup defeat. For the second week in a row we went behind to an early goal and couldn't get back into the game. Well played Andie for protecting the lead with an L tactic which seemed to work a treat.

Good win, eventually for us. We actually scored 2 goals which seems amazing given our circumstance with strikers and their misfiring. Moves us up the table a fair bit too, off the bottom area and two points from the relegation zone. I'm hoping we can start to pull away from that area. We have a run of tricky games coming up so it would look as though we have to take every point we can get in order to survive

Surely villa cant repeat last season? You mean fade and get beaten to the title by Aberdeen on the last day? They are looking very strong through with some golden oldies and loans on board. Looking at the record books it was S16 when they stormed Div 3 with only 1 defeat, but then were straight back down again the next season. TBH over the longer season I think the good and bad luck will even out, and we'll see Marseille, Porto and Rangers fighting it out, with Villa and hopefully us snapping at their heels. Let's face it 6-0 is a freak result, but Milan do look a bit weak. For some reason they fielded their 4th and 6th choice strikers.

Porto look to be waking up now although the left it late to convert any of their chances. A good win for Osasuna although the turning point was a red card. Werder played it safe and will be happy with a point. Not much to choose between Rangers and Schalke.
