Another defeat for my lot in the big grudge match against my lad, must admit that the banter in the house all week has been really good and Dillon rushed in and rubbed my nose right in it when the early results came through Had a man sent off early doors and lost my key midfielder to injury also early on, then bang Osasuna scored, on reflection I have to grudgingly admit that the wee man got it spot on and dominated the game, well done Dillon, that's your eighteenth present right there ! Villa looking strong and good wins for Aberdeen Bremen and Marseille slowly coming back to good form. Rangers looking like relegation material now

... E_Manson with a thundering shot! ... GOAL !! ... Was that a smile we saw on his manager’s face? ... I think it was! Well done Gazza for taking defeat with good grace, but I guess that's all you have to cling on to now the mantle has clearly passed from father to son! A clinical job from our boys on a Porto side very badly depleted by injury and suspension. We came out guns blazing and managed to grab two early goals, then took the sting out of the game and offered Porto few chances to get back in. I'm sure Porto's luck will change and so long as they hit form (which is an illusion) towards the end of the season, they only need a top half finish to still have a good chance of promotion. Scary stuff from Villa and it could have been a lot worse as the Feyenoord keeper made 22 saves. Villa have a very strong squad - albeit bolstered by loans and oldies - and they are playoff definites and quite possibly top two. However, I guess they'd find it hard to get loans in the top flight. Impressive too from Werder as Roma's season goes from bad to worse - they are taking the pain of developing a keeper, and look to be going down for sure. Marseille putting a run together now and are starting to creep up the table. Valencia thought they had a late winner but choked and their lead is closed to a single point.

That win will hopefully prove vital for us later in the season. We set up well and pressed the game with our passes.
I think the real big point was brining on 20 year old Jose who went on to score the winner, repaying me for the game time and first team place. Making the most of the extra man tipped the game in our favour, as Rangers also lost Diego. We got a bit lucky but we played well and put our foot on the ball and dominated and the stats show it with 64% possession and almost triple Rangers shots on goal!
Wonder how those who predicted us to go down feel now, seeing that we are unbeaten in the season since the opening day defeat to Aberdeen.
7 points clear of the drop! Hopefully we can build on this and have a fairy-tail shot at the playoffs!
