Not to sure what to make of our result.
A bit disappointed I think, don't get me wrong once you go behind to a Madrid side it's tough coming back but we decided to go at Madrid, which worked a treat for Benfica the week before.
However once we were back on level terms with both advantages we were the better side. But scoring 2 against 6 at the back against the best players was always going to be an ask.
We tried to put the league to bed here but go into the final 2 games with things still in our hands. Although Benfica, as proving are going to be tough to get anything against, let alone the win we really need.
Are we now favourites to win the league for the first time in over a season. Possibly but I still think Madrid will edge it.

Liverpool 0 v 0 Ajax
Boring match for both teams, only 4 shots on target between us, Ajax had one eye on Thursdays Elite League Cup Final and there starting 11 showed that!
still its in theres own hands with 2 home matches left, will be really interesting these last two matches both top and bottom, Barcelona IMO are now out of it after failing to beat Benfica, but John must now know he cant split up next week away to Benfica in what will be a very hard match, plus coming of the back of a Cup Final match on Thursday, do they change there starting 11 now for Thursday and make the league there number 1?
it doesnt get any better than this!!!

Well I'd tried everything else so I thought I would try a defensive line-up and somehow it worked. We got the early lucky own goal and then controlled the game for 89 minutes for the win.
We're still far from safe but face bottom team Lyon in the next game so should hopefully get the points we need.

Yes, Malky, I think you're right. We don't stand much chance of pushing either of the top two now. Bayern have defied all the odds a leapfrogged Real to the top spot. I feel they'll be slight favourites to win it now, but they do have that big hurdle of playing Benfica this weekend. Benfica are a bit bruised and battered after a tough few weeks, so Bayern may very well benefit from that. I can see them grabbing all the points at Benfica and cruising to victory against Everton in the final league round.
