New season new hopes.
It's nearly upon us but what's your thoughts on pre-season and the season ahead, are we all cannon foder for Ajax or pawns in Scott's game?
Thoughts!

Will be interesting to see what Man City do pre season as their squad is threadbare, but has a decent core to it.
Ajax will romp the league, far too good to be in this division.
Rangers will settle for nothing less than 4th 5th place, most of all we want to score 20-25 goals in the league, our goals ratio was pretty poor last season.
Valencia should do well and be on a level par with Schalke and Rangers.
Werder Bremen Man City and Osasuna not far behind, but anything can be expected from the so called other weaker teams.
I expect another season of shocks and excitement.

Avoiding demotion would be good.

I'm with Levi on this one, especially if last season is anything to go by. Every team was able to take points off everyone else, so trying not to get caught up in a relegation battle is always a realistic goal.
I think Ajax will lead the way but then again might not get things all their own way. Rangers and Everton should have a better season than the previous one, with the rest of us playing between the play off places and relegation zone.
It all depends on who does what pre-season and who can add to what they already have squad wise.

I'm not confident it must be said. we will attempt to strengthen but its going to be tough Hope my forwards can bang a few in against your lot as your keeper looks very vulnerable, I persevered with the young promising keeper for a few more seasons than I should have, is what probably held my team back to be honest. Good luck though mate and to everyone else in Division One, kick off in a few days, bring it on !!

Yeah the keeper is a tough one as he is only 27.9. On the plus side he is only 22 so if we can progress him nicely we can potentially expect him to hit 39 by the time he's 30 or 31. Given that it's all but certain that I'm going to be in division 2 next season this season will be about trying to fight relegation and also getting the abs at he same time.

Thought that with Steklenberg (now at AC Milan) brought him through several seasons at Rangers, but I wasn't doing too well and my team suffered as did my keeper, even tried loaning him out, I hope you have better luck buddy.

I think the top four will be between Ajax, Valencia, City and Rangers. City could be onto back to back promotions with some strong additions this pre-season.

Good looking squad and a definite chance of promotion, was looking forward to giving your team a hiding this season, not so confident now. Should be a couple of cracking games between City and Gers.
