Liverpool 1 - 2 Feyenoord after Match Interview
Liverpool boss Malky McKay couldn’t hide his disappointment after his Liverpool team lost there season 9 Opening day fixture at home to Feyenoord.’you spend all pre season building up to this moment, you let players go and you bring in players who you think will improve your chances of winning matches and leagues' 'The fixture list looked kind to us and handed us a home game which we were very happy with’,’ Maybe it was my negative tactics with playing five at the back was our downfall!!','but we showed respect to Feyenoord as they have just dropped down from the Elite League and have a good manager’,’ My worry is that we played our strongest eleven and it still wasn’t good enough to win or even draw the game’,’ This season is going to be hard enough so we wanted to win our home games and try and stay away from the bottom of the league’,’ its now looking like its going to be a long long season for us.'
'I thought for seventy minutes we controlled the game’,’ then Buzsaky goes on a great run, beats a few players and scores a great goal’,’ At that point im still thinking lets pick up the pace and go on and win this game', 'Then Piorkowski goes in late on DeLaCruz and the ref gives a penalty’,’ To be fair Crespo gave young McCormick no chance and the rest is now history.'
'On a plus note i was happy with Prso','I sure over the season he will score a few goals for Liverpool Football Club.'
'We now have to put this result behind us and look forward to our trip to Barcelona.'

Not quite the results I predicted, but this is what makes this a great game. You really can't predict the first round. Well done to Marseille, Feyenoord and Ajax for grabbing all three points!

I got my prediction for Valencia v Barcelona spot on, but I feel I could have had more from the game looking at the stats. I guess Mr super keeper is to blame for that Good game though, Andie, it really could have gone either way and a draw is a fair result.

Celtic FC 0 - 1 Ajax
Happy with the win away but only 1 nil against the T tactic! Nothing much to take from the game other than F_Ljungberg scoring in his first game on 83 mins.
Looking forward to Real visting us next week.

You're right Andie, but the first few games often define your season, so they are sometimes the most important matches

Hope my luck will be change with Ajax Not sure if it was a mistake mate but i did notice you brought your sub keeper on to play in defence with 10 mins to go, not that it made a difference to the score Min. 80 :(rmd) J_Corvo is coming on for C_Berra and playing DF

Haha! Maybe he had that as a condition if he was 2-0 down with 10 minutes or more to play

Unlucky ahmed it was a close game but i think we did edge the game on stats and we could of scored more with 2 disallowed goals but i do think 4-0 would of spoiled us. Its good to see the big man up front doing the buisness for us again this season. I am really happy to grab 3 points from this one as i know ahmed doesnt give much away.
