Dominated possession but not enough shots for my liking, couldn't find a way past Roma's tough defence. A few interesting results around...

Excellent win for our boys. Defensive counter attacking formation against an open attacking formation. Either you get stung badly and go down like a lead brick or you do what we did tonight and defend well, steal an early goal and defend it to the end. Not pretty, but rather effective, and of course their red card helped massively! Must say based on possession and chances our boys played on equal par against a much stronger (on paper) Aberdeen squad. We are extremely pleased to take 3 points in this group of death and will take our new found optimism into another home game against Bayern!

Rested a few players for this game which enabled me to try something a little different, we competed well and had chances to win the game, but the loss of three players , one to injury and two red cards probably stopped me from taking the win.
A point away from home and we are still in with a shout of going through, other game ended 0-0 also.

the win we needed, just the potential banana peel against Feyenoord. One more win should see us through

very poor performance again when i expected us to win, just not doing the basics and putting the ball in the net, this result realistically puts us out the FA Cup with two 'harder' clubs to follow
this is when it really pays to have a 30+ skilled forward....

Another good performance means we get the win we wanted to start the group stages off in style. We controlled the game and probably should have scored more as we had 18 shots on target.
