Not sure what's gone on here, but I never picked this team or tactic very odd, obviously I submitted an old teamsheet, really annoyed and angry with myself. Had Roma sussed to a T not sure if it would have made any differance might ask malky to run my proper team, juts for piece of mind. Oh well title is over down to a fook up, not the best way to go down but hey ho sh1t happens!

Another game dominated , but down to 10 men after a red card , so it was never going to be easy, 1 point no use to me in the relegation battle. Title is not over John and you know it, will be though when the Gers beat you 1st july

Needed to get something Gazza, only on the basis that Roma have so many home games left to play.
Never been so annoyed after a game, may as well have not submitted a teamsheet as put in the wrong one.
Was looking forward to the game so much, I've not even looked at the game report just say the tactic and then formation i was playing and went straight to the result!!
I suppose the first time out of 6 odd years aint bad going, will be interesting to see where the file saved last night!!

Maybe i will do the double over Roma , still plenty of games to go John, not had much luck myself this season, injuries and orderings off have'nt been too kind to me.
My mistake was dismantling a title winning team , if it aint broke , dont fix it eh !

Reckon so mate, but like yourself I will have to do the same soon, was hoping this could be my year, but a silly mistake could have cost me. Not that I was going to win it anyway but I expected to be in the mix and now may turn my attention to the cups.

totally agree mate!
but to ensure a teams long term success, sometimes needs must?
anyone who has played these games (ESMS) more than 4 seasons, knows that change is needed from time to time. A good manager knows when and how to change (not always wise) but necessary.
by changing not only does it test a managers skill, its good for the game also? (spreading the wealth) but not only that, it keeps the game fresh and challenging for those managers as well!
every team/manager should always try to be better, should try in some way to improve!
any idiot can put together a strong team but there always old! there aint a great deal of skill in that TBH! every manager is different, some develope teams, some build them but one thing elite has never had is a manager season after season developes, builds, and produces a winning team? season after season? that in my eyes would be the ultimate!
i aint a great manager, what im doing is just different, it may or may not pay off? but in my book any manager who can substain some sort of silverware season after season is a good one as far as i am concerned?

All very True Andie , hopefully it'll come good for Gers , but i honestly think going down this season could be very difficult to recover from, as competition each year gets tougher and tougher and its pretty cut throat in all divisions. Competition is healthy though, and unfortunately it's a real taste of reality for Gers.

When EFL started all teams were even, but now 7 and a half seasons down the line we are now seeing gaps. def between the elite league/division one and the other two leagues. Everton and Celtic got relegated last season and both are proping the rest up at the bottom of division One. as a division two manager i dont think Liverpool could cope in division one and would prob come right back down. winning leagues and cups lets you buy better players each season, so if your team is not successfull you are not going to improve at the same rate as the top clubs. thats why i think some managers have maybe found there level/division now. they then need to start looking at a long term plan, ie youth players...if you can snap up a good skill 19/20 youth player, you are always going to attract big bids from the power clubs and the managers who have money. and by having these players you hold all the aces!!! and if you can get a big transfer fee, that inturn lets you improve your squad with better quality.
but like it has been said before, teams break up and change every few seasons, you have choices to make once players start getting older. do i hold onto him or replace him now with a younger player..
im sure the transfer market will get active again soon, maybe alot of managers are just happy how there squads are looking at this time
