Well as always I hope to qualify, but it definitely looks to be an advantage finishing runner up in the group. A home game and avoiding Rangers or Santos who always have decent cup runs looks the way to go!

Division 2 sides, Spurs and Newcastle sitting top (love it) whats going on with Elite?? You will have to ask Inter Milan & Juventus Andie... alot of rotating going on this week and key players rested, i think by dropping the likes of R_v_Nistelroy Xavi and F_Lampard it shows where Inter's priorities lie!!!!

Congrats to Newcastle aswell, the Div 2 bhoys riding high [/quote Great win and still to drop a point, Spurs look like they could be back in business. I think these group stages it's vital all squads are rotated as even if you lose one you still can turn it round, and with the depth of the elite fitness is also a major factor to consider. The FA Cup certainly adds that bit of magic, with the lower leagued teams picking up wins against weakened top sides.

Juventus and Inter are out!
I can understand some teams fielding weaker teams and concentrating on the league. But for me, it's all about the extra games and extra revenue!
Each to there own i suppose!
I would take the abs and cash any day??

Each to there own i suppose! I would take the abs and cash any day?? But look at the replaacements not exactly shite are they, it's all about getting a fine balance. Take my cup games made 5/6 changes every game and still came out with two victories, if Inter had done the same it would have been happy days. But instead they are dumped out on their ass. Fine line between success and failure.
