I'd like to propose the following set up for next seasons FA Cup. Personally I don't see the point of the randomness in the current setup as surely it is random which group you end up in to start with. I think teams that win their group should be awarded with a home draw in the second round. Considering the League Cup is already random, the FA Cup could do with a bit of structure.

I like this idea. due to the fact that group winners should be at home it should be an incentive for winning the group

i agree with round 2 but think Qauter finals should be a random draw. With semi's and final on neutral ground?

Alternatively, play quarter finals onwards at neutral grounds.

Alternatively, play quarter finals onwards at neutral grounds. would mean the draw for every round would be done at the start of the season! So everyone knows where there at?

As an after thought wouldn't it be easier for knock out rounds of both cups to finish on the day to save the confusion of who's playing when and the fixture congestion?

I have no idea what you mean Andie. It'll be no different to what it is at the moment, only there is more of a structure to it. You already know what's going to happen the way it is now. You know who you'll potentially play in the second round, quarter finals and so on the way it is now, as you would with the potential new set up. There won't be any extra games, so I don't see how this is an issue???

I was basicly saying that when the draw is done at the start of the season, that would be it, no need to draw out teams for each round if quaters, semi's and final where on neutral ground - less work for malky!
In the FA cup if a game is tied it has to be replayed on another day, which became confusing for a few teams last season and the season before that, they had no clue when they where due to play replays etc etc
so i think we should, in knock out rounds, play extra time and penalty's so there would be no need to play those extra games or even try to squeeze replays into the current fixture list!
If thats makes sense??

Makes sense but replays add some excitement to it and if your team are playing it aint that hard to find out we do get regular emails about replays

If i'm drawn away, then i know i can hold out for a draw and then replay the game at home! Which means home advantage and a better chance of winning plus extra revenue! But you have to concider the fact if quaters semi's and final are on neutral ground the point of replays are? Only really good for a second bite at the cherry so to speak! I don't mind them to be honest, but know others don't!

It could be easier if we scrapped the replays, at least for quarter, semi and final. Perhaps only for round2?

Think thw winners of the group should be rewarded with a home tie in the next round, was a bit strange wanting to lose my final group game after looking at the draw.
I want still want home advantage until the semi final so think neutral grounds before that wouldn't be right.
I don't believe we should get rid of replays adds a different twist from the other cup, although I do think replays should be added to the fixture list.
One thing I've been thinking is the seasons seem to fly by so think with set dates for replays added in plus an extra round in the league cup, where I'd like to see the reserve teams added wqhich would certainly add spice to that cup. Imagine a big team going out to someones reserves now that would get the banter going and pick reserve players progressing at a nice rate. You'sd need a clause where your own teams can't face each other until the final.
