Group C
Aberdeen 1 - 4 Marseille
Very disappointing. Yes we came out looking for a draw, but at 61% possession I don't think anyone can accuse us of not playing football. We encountered two strikers on form, and we were put to the sword. Well played Marseille.
So Marseille are through, Man Utd are out, their final game is a dead rubber. We need to win at Santos to go through. It's almost not worth trying, but I guess freak results can happen.
So we have Bayern & Barca (freak results aside), Werder, Marseille and Benfica already through with a match to play.

Group E
Hearts 0 v 0 Liverpool
Happy with the 0-0 draw at a packet Tynecastle Park, it was the result i was looking for, and leaves us with a home match against Aston Villa
All four clubs are still in this group so match three will be an exciting week!
Todays match could have went either way looking at the stats, both managers fielding strong line ups, Daniel will be more disappointed at this results but they are more than capable of getting a result at Sunderland in the last match
all to play for!

not the result i was looking for lol,
big big match against Celtic i am already planning my team as we speak
My season aint going to be that good this year, releagtion is almost a certain i think as my team is no way near to the standards of the elite league,
but i may have to go down the league/s to build my squad up.

Well a nice 4-1 win away from home and puts me into the next round! Might not play the best football but picking up the main thing which is wins as dam says we are scoring goals which is what you need to do to win
Dan may feel abit unlucky but if he didn't play D he may well of got a result as my side were well below par injury wise so had to dip into the reserves
Will most defiantly be resting players in the next round
Well played dan

Celtic FC 2 - 0 LyonGot the win I needed and the team played well which is nice to see. Had most of the possession and chances and was happy to see my young strikers scoring again this week, in the end we probably should have won by more but just happy to get another win under our belts! Tricky tie against Roma in the last game which will make team selection a headache!

Although not a stunning performance, I'm more than happy with the point that all but guarantees we are through to the next round, bar a 10 goal swing!
I reckon Everton, could and would have pushed on for the win, but changing to the Defensive and conceding almost immediately scuppered there early dominance.
Everton and Juve will hoping I can put 3/4 past Barca and they get a similar result to put them through.
Would certainly like to win the group to avoid a likely trip to Madrid in the next round.

To be honest was trying something different so I pinched Malkys formation and played my last season tactic. Guess we will see what happens in round 2 of Everton Vs Bayern next week!

Good win for my lads against Spurs, set the side up to win and stats were all in my favour, made a slight error with my substitution, but worked out ok. Also will be appealing my sending off, shocking decisions by the officials ;D

Chelsea 0 - 0 Newcastle
Very pleased with this result which leaves us top of Group E with a game to play (albeit probably toughest game last).
Would be very pleased to progress to the second round for a second year in a row but more pleased that my team are slowly starting to put some performances in.
To match a Div 1 team in Attempts on Target, Attempts off Target and Possession shows we deserved a point and the game could have gone either way.
Hoping we can carry the cup form into a very important league game this weekend!
All in all Group F wide open, with two from three going through. We are probably outsiders now needing a point away at inter....but stranger things have happened and we seem to have an affinity with the Cup!
