No shame in that result for Lyon, still probably the greatest day in their recent history and certainly a fantastic cup run for the fans. At the end of the day it predictably came down to Ruud v Zotti, and there could only be one result.
Oh - and congrats Rags on another double...

Well done and congrats to John and Bayern, unlucky Neil, you were always going to be up against it without your best keeper, very good performance considering.

Just got back from holiday to see the result. Can't complain at all. We went into the game wanting to keep it tight and limit bayerns chances as much as possible. And we managed to do that. Ultimately RVN proved the difference but when you look at the two sides a 2-0 loss is nothing to be ashamed of!
The fans had a great day out and it was good big-game experience for our players! Hopefully the first of many under my management!!
Next season we might take the cup a bit less seriously and concentrate solely on promotion from div 3! But hopefully this is a sign of things to come from olympique Lyon...!!
Congrats John! Hope we had you on the edge of your seat as you read the match report...!!
