Elated witha a 0-0 draw vs Santos. Buffon with 18 saves!!!! We need to be proud of this result. Even our reserve GK played in defence? Happy with a result gives us a chance of progressing through

Good start to the group for Rangers, gives us a chance to progress, was a game Gers dominated and on reflection we should have won, all the chances and possession in favour of the home team, Murphy didn't have his shooting boots on, target practice at training for the Irishman !
Well done Ajax, a point gained, another good performance from my lads.

A great result for us away to higher division opponents. I last thing I expected was for Stu to line up C but it didn't seem to matter and we raced into a 2-0 lead. Celtic regrouped and started the fightback and it looked like the tide was going to turn. But after a harsh second half sending off they couldn't make another breakthrough and we were able to settle it with a third. A great game for the neutrals though with both keepers gloves glowing red by the final whistle.
So really the only two minor upsets happening in group H, all the other games pretty much going to form. A great results for Juventus although not really to our advantage, we'd prefer Santos to be running away with the group and us to be fighting for second.
Impressive peformance by Juve's reserve keeper in defence, even making 2 tackles! Taking "utility player" to a new level!

Very even game, Malky having all the advantage home and tactically but the added class was still to much for his guys.
I'm sure Malky thought he might do it seeing C V A but 2 early goals soon put the tie to bed and we were able to take off the star guns and rest them up for the league, slight worry was a knock to Fabinski but he soon shook it off.
Will be hoping to put this group to bed next week against Man U and then we'll hopefully not need to worry about the trip to Valencia.

Lyon 2 - 0 Schalke
Pleased to get a decent win against a strong Schalke side, even while i rested a few first-teamers. Only downside was Smalling's rash headbutt which put us down to 10 men, but thankfully Schalke evened things up with their own sending off.
Hopefully we can carry this performance into our next league game and really get our season started! Otherwise we might have to settle for another lengthy cup run....!!

I am sure that you will win the remaining games of our group. For once Buffon is doing his job

Good win with nice abs for us. Unlucky Chelsea who made a great start. They might fancy their chances against Porto and Feyenoord.

Well played fella, I knew from previous games you'd probably play the A tactic so thought C would help me but as usual our early season form is shite! You deserved the win so no complaints from me.

Gracious words - but your chances were really killed off by a harsh red card. All to play for now though!
