Happy with the result limited the well talked about striker and team to not a single shot on target at their place, so hope to have home advantage now plus my main striker back and shall see what comes of it

Lined up to play a containing game and try and hit them on the break, always going to be a huge ask at the Bernabeu. It worked well in the first half but they bagged one after the break. I pushed all my chips in with 20 mins left, throwing more men up front, but then disaster struck for us with 2 men going off injured and no subs left. The chance for an equaliser was all but gone and really we did well to not concede more. So a great performance from the lads on one of the toughest trips to be made in EFL, if luck had been with us we could have just snatched that equaliser. Good game Ahmed.

Switched tactics to counter and at kick off my gamble seemed to be spot on as Barca set up to attack, team were having their fair share of the spoils and were competing well then i lost my keeper to injury, to be honest the game didn't change at all , Barca had that extra quality and picked us off as the game progressed, we had great chances but again my strikers struggle against highly rated keepers.
A game we were always gonna struggle to win to be honest , we are a 1st division club that's now established, but we are a very poor cup team.
We played well and the stats were kind to us, 2 or 3 quality players short of Elite status I would say.
Match Statistics ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rangers FC | Barcelona Attempts on Goal : 13 | 9 Off target : 4 | 2 On target : 9 | 7 Possession : 49 | 51 Corners : 5 | 0 Red Cards : 0 | 0 Yellow Cards : 0 | 1 Subs Used : 3 | 3 Fouls : 6 | 12 Key Tackles : 4 | 7 Key Passes : 8 | 9 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score : Rangers FC 0 - 2 Barcelona
Go Lyon !! don't know how they do it, there's a cup team for you !!

Well played Gazza! I know the feeling when you loose after picking the best tactic and having the most chances. Unlucky buddy.

Great result for us against a strong Porto side! Set up to keep it tight and it worked. Managed the larger share of possession and could even have had a pen.
Nice to once again cause a cup upset! Will be watching the draw with interest. I would like to think no one would really want to be drawn against us!
Well done to fellow underdogs AC Milan too! Not too proud to say a home draw against them would be a result. Relatively speaking....!

Glad to get through this battle, nothing really separated the 2 sides, a debatable goal setgling what looked like pens.
Always tough facing Peters men, who were a bit unlucky.
Really want to win this cup and put stamp, on my dominance in all competitions. Some big teams to beat if that's gonna happen.

In the nicest possible way John, i am sick of the sight of you and your boys! We'll see you in the final for some revenge!! And this time there is no way i'm risking injuring my keeper in a meaningless league game before the final!
