Well the season is almost upon us and Rangers are at home to Santos, a very tough proposition, Rangers have stiffened their defence with the signings of Maicon Smith and In Goals Buffon, this is an area which will be tested all season as the best strikers will be using Rangers for shooting practice !!
Santos have a fantastic keeper a great defender and an amazing midfielder plus a great strikeforce, in short an amazing backbone to their team, don't really fancy anything other than stealing a point in this game, hopefully our creative young midfield can pull us through this game and Aquafresca can continue to deliver the goods.
Should be a good game and a measure of how Rangers will fare this season .

As always looking forward to a new season, win lose or draw its good to be part of the top league! first up its home to Bayern Munich who IMO will win the Elite League this season, John will be like a wounded animal and wanting to get his crown back, with a class midfield they should dominate most matches leaving H_Postiga to hopefully get the goals this season.
RVN is gone but he didnt have the best of seasons and it was the right time to move him on, so a very hard task for our lads in week 1, wouldnt expect anything other than a defeat but we have already had five shocks in the League Cup so hopefully we get the same ref that sent off three Arsenal players and he is a Liverpool fan!
we have some exciting youngsters this season who im hoping to play as much as possible between main and reserve squads so while we expect to be relegated this season we will enjoy our time!
good luck everyone, lets make it a good one

Teamsheet in early, no point beating around the bush!
Everton have a decent team, but they are going to concede goals in this division and this is a great first test for us, we suspect Everton will try and keep it tight and look to not get beat first of all but if we want to get into the top four this season then we need to find the key to beat teams like Everton away from home.
As always we will play to win but we won't leave holes at the back and risk getting hit on the counter.
Good luck to all managers!

Well away to Liverpool is not the best of places to start the campaign, but then I can think of worse.
I have a good record against Liverpool and hope that contines here, I know they are going to be tough to break down, and I certainly have to get the first goal, to stop Malky parking his 2nd double decker bus.
I'm looking forward to this season, more than the last few, nice going into it with little or no expectations. Yes, I might not have the strongest team I've ever had but I do think it's the most balanced with more depth than ever before, possibly just lacking one more quality defender.
A good start is critical to a successful season, I think Ahmed might have been the first manager to win the elite starting with a few dodgy results.

Team sheet selected, finishing touches on the new stand completed, looking for a near 110000 sell out for the visiting Santos team. Team have been briefed this afternoon after a light morning training session, long shin guards are recommended for Tabata, stick to the game plan and the lads can run down that tired old midfield. Aquafresca has looked amazing during training and astounded the fans with six goals in the recent 10-0 friendly win over Coventry, the whole team looking sharp. Bring it on Elite league, coming for you !!!
