Very tight match between Santos and Madrid ,red card for Santos and Madrid's extra quality edged out the unlucky Brazilians, Bayern dominated and deserved their win over Porto, pretty routine for them, sets up the dream final Bayern Munich v Real Madrid at the Nou camp, should be a stonker !!!

We march on.
Took a slight risk and rested a few stars but are squad is so strong and in such good form, we cruised to victory and anothdr final.
I'd hand the FA cup to Ahmed now if we could take the league title back to Munich.
What a final it's set to be, hopefully we can invade Spain and send the home fans away dissapointdd just like in Brazil.
Massive game next and a week I'm not looking forward go.

Not to take anything away from Madrid at all .... (another game very close but the quality shone through)
But like a newbie I f**ked up my conditions and had both conditions @ 30 mins contradicting each other (albeit 2 nil down at that stage - but one of my conditions WAS for being 2 nil down)
Very disappointed - but the result is what it is ....
Good luck to the 2 best teams in the league in the final ....
Last 2 cup games I have over thought the opposition (and in the league) and both times I was outdone tactically - whereas I have done very well in the tactics department ... (and the only way I have a chance against these 2 IS the tactical advantage)
So this is a perfect season to sum up Santos (where we are now) - 4th Elite - Runners up League Cup - SF FA cup

Good write up Glyn, and sums up your season perfectly.
I think you've achieved what you could have expected from Santos this season and with a bit more luck or a decision or 2 you may have got some silverware. I think you've got to be satisfied with what you do and the w\ay your team is taking shape after losing a few key guys.
I'm hoping to do it a little slower than you have but in a similar style, i.e without dropping a league and having relative cup success. Chopping in RVN was a massive decision but it's enabled me to sort out my weakest area in terms of age, which was the midfield for the foreseeable future.
Some may say I still have an aging team but with 2 or 3 additions I have an Elite top 4 side for the next 6/7 seasons which is a long time in any game.
