Another very hard match this week (aint they all) away to Ajax who got a great away win at FC Porto in week 1 ive a feeling i'll be writing the same story every week pre match but we are excited to be here and looking forward to a long hard season, we are already enjoying the larger leagues and it will be really interesting to see it taking shape during the season!
again we are looking for a smash and grab in this fixture, would be happy with 0-0 but hopefully Nade can score early and we can park the bus,
elsewhere there should be wins for Santos FC, Real Madrid, Hearts and a draw in the big match in Germany (which wont do John any good, and its only game 2)
Good Luck All

Not looking forward to facing Bayern. Like us, they slipped up in the opening game, but they still have a far stronger squad in most areas. We also come into this game with our top defender sidelined through suspension. Apart from that we look fairly fit and ready. Bayern have no issues with their squad.

Bryn and myself would have been looking at a more friendly set of fixtures and already a defeat here would make winning the Elite a near impossible task.
Bryn's first goal would not have been the title but he was one of many clubs that could challenge the favourites Real and were unlucky against the strongest.
We are weaker in defence and attack this year so the unexpected title last season looks less likely this year. But our formidable midfield is stronger than ever.
So should I start looking at a 3-6-1? Could work at home can't see it away.
Not sure if the change of set up has helped but I see the big 4 clubs extended for the first time this year with Ajax, Porto and Barca. Joining the original 3 with Hearts dropping out.

Very hard game versus a quality Santos team, don't really expect to take much if anything from this game, hopefully we can be at our very best and maybe take a point, or better still Santos get an injury red card or similar, just looking for that wee bit of luck.
