A comfortable home win to get our season moving. Managed to get a good early lead and then closed the game down a bit, City came back but we got the game wrapped up by half time. A positive approach from the visitors, but with defence being their weakest area I don't think they can afford to only play 3 at the back.
Chelsea hit 4 for the second week in a row but this time pick up the points, Dortmund having two DFs sent off in the closing stages handing the game to the visitors.
Impressive win for Madrid, perhaps a little flattering. Very impressive stuff from Schalke away from home, suddenly Villa look a little bit ordinary - 15 saves from Sorensen but it still wasn't enough. Next week we visit the Germans - potentially our toughest game of the season.

My seasons plans have... somewhat deteriorated.
But its fine, until my defence improves im always going to struggle. In hindsight the two oap midfielders were a mistake.
But its all a lesson learned.

It hindsight the two oap midfielders were a mistake. I wouldn't say that, midfielders make possession and possession makes goals. But with those quality players in the middle, I think you can afford to play 4 at the back.
