A decent result away from home against one of the division's top sides. Scott lined up with an A tactic but 5 at the back, we set up on the counter but would always find those 5 defenders a challenge. Kaka bagged an early goal and we opted to try and sit on the lead, not a great approach as it let Schalke back into the game and eventually they got the equaliser. So overall a pleasing performance, I would have taken the point before the game no question.
Interesting to see Newcastle making a power play by signing Hearts stars Lafferty and Sektoui - with their top class keeper this suddenly makes them a force to be reckoned with.
Elsewhere, Villa continue to impress, and I can't wait to witness all the friendly banter after City break their duck against SP.
