Ah well, that's the cup over for us and Sao Paulo. Easy to blame S_Lovell for the penalty miss, but really I should have changed tactics towards the end to try and get the win.
No real shocks anywhere this round, I think.

Liverpool 0 v 2 Real Madrid
Wasnt a game we thought we would get anything from so drafted in all the kids with one and a half eyes on our next Elite League match away to Hearts, really disappointed with the referees performance sending off three players are really spoiling it for the fans!
Having a look at the league table going into the last game no club is really safe even those who have won 2 out of 2 because there are a waiting pack of clubs on 4 points that could overtake them on match day 3
we have AS Roma at home in the last game but id expect Chris will be happy with a point giving him 7, a win for us may still be worthless!
going to be a very interesting final match

Another 4 nil victory sits us top of the pile with a game to go our we in the next round? I would say we are Osasuna sit just outside the teams currently going through on 3 points and my goal difference will be enough barring a travesty against Juve who are pretty much out.
I can see possibly 1 team at best getting through on 4 points.
I would now like to assure I finish in the top 8 and get a home tie and think a point will do that.
Huntelaar now looks like he has settled in and forming a partnership with Messi that could be the front line for years to come. Mcsheffrey was highly impressive when coming on and will be pushing for a start at the weekend.

Close game versus Porto, just couldn't convert any of my 10 shots on target, and as per the script Van_Nistelroy comes of the bench to knock in the winner, this effectively ends my hopes of progression, so it will be the young ones for the last game . Rangers matched their opponents and it was always going to settled by the odd goal, Porto went down to 10 men and we couldn't take advantage, maybe due to my tactical eff ups ! The experimental 3-7-0 formation didn't work at all, damn me not checking my subs, especially after pulling Ahmed up for it School boy error ! Got what I deserved, well done Porto.

Pleased to get the win away from home at Werder...especially thanks to a bit of tactical genious by yours truly!
Still going to be tough to qualify with our final game against Santos but hopefully a draw will be enough...!
The first of 4 games against Werder Bremen this season...and its first blood to us.

Lost 0-3. Big error tactically on my part.
However, stats wise very similar between the two sides.
Just been chatting with John (Villa manager) both our keeprs have had the exact same amount of shots their way, mines let in 22, his has let in 2... Know what I need to buy.

Rangers FC 0 - 1 FC Porto
happy to grab the win here, was brave and rested RVN till later in the game and also played Atsu again. Squillaci also played to rest 1 of the main 5 defenders.
Close game with us edging the possession and the home side creating 1 more attempt than us, the interesting part was the fact they had 10 out of 10 on target........ not sure I have ever seen that many end up all on target lol. So have to say I am very glad Marshall played a blinder for us keeping them all out. Adebayor got sent off just before RVN was about to come on and partner him so ended up being to replace him. Then the man himself got us the winner. glad we signed him now as I don't think we would have got that late winner else and he will win us some very important games this season.
Hopefully we will be through after 2 wins, but will be looking to make sure of it against Newcastle in the final game.
unlucky Gazza

RVN had one shot and one goal; not a bad stat.
