We need a +5 GD swing compared with Rangers, it seems unlikely but you never know. No point thinking about their game, we just need to get the home crowd behind us and see what we can do.
Elsewhere... Villa v Feyenoord will be interesting, could go either way. Schalke have almost the same situation as us, needing a big home win against a lower Div 2 side while their rivals entertain one of the league's giants. Liverpool will no doubt be trying to squeeze a point out of Bayern, which might be enough to see them through. Arsenal and Milan go head to head - with the Gunners' crippling GD both sides will be looking for a win. Meanwhile Spurs could pull off a shock and sneak through. The pressure is on Santos to beat Everton and ensure qualification, but we could see a 3 way tie on 6 points in Group F. Group G - buggered if I know. And in Group H, both Werder and Lyon face tough tasks to clinch the second berth.

put myself in in a good position to qualify at home knowing a win sends us through and that is all I'm after against Feyenoord. enjoying a very good start to my first season here 3rd in the league, qualified with a home game in the League Cup and now in a very good position to qualify in the FA Cup.

A point will do us but will Liverpool come looking to dup us out of the cup and win by 2?
We have one eye on a massive tie against Porto, a win over in Portugal and we may start believing we can retain our title.

Bayern Munich v Liverpool
Looking like out two cups before Halloween!!! you just dont goto Germany and pick up three points!
we will just play our normal game, whats the point in playing 6-3-1 D when all it takes is an early Bayern goal and the tactic then does nothing to get you back into the game without making a couple of sub changes!
we lost the chance to qualify after the Osasuna match and only have ourselves to blame, i cant see any way of getting anything from this match, Munich are just too powerful

In an OK position... win and i should be through... hopefully can take advantage of the poor fitness in their defence and find a way past the 34 rated keeper

Lyon v Porto
Tough to see us going through. Based on Inter's form we have to assume Werder get a win...that means we have to take all three points and hope goal difference is enough. We will see...!
We have some hope though. We are close to fully fit, their best defender is out and RVN is knackered. Plus they have a huge game at the weekend against Bayern so hopefully they will rest a few players...!

Rangers are no walk over. With six points in the bag, we're considering promoting one or two youths. It'll still be a strong squad and we're expecting a solid performance. Defeat would mean second place and potentially a trickier second round opponent.

Got a feeling my lot are gonna get squeezed out on goal difference, saying that were not conceding too many at the moment, its just hanging in the balance, surely were due some kinda cup run !

Gone back to my winning formula of the last few seasons 4-5-1
