Elite FA Cup Quarter Finals - Thu 9 Oct Rangers FC v Real Madrid Benfica v Bayern Munich Celtic FC v Barcelona AC Milan v Lyon
Really tasty quarter final draw! Three giants all with difficult away games, plus we are guaranteed at least one Div 1 side in the semis.

Great result this week for Rangers, well deserved as over the two legs we proved to be the better team, on paper Marseille have a fantastic team and should beat Rangers, but we seemed to put the performance on, and we got our tactics right, everyone stood firm and held out after going one up.
It's a mini cup run and was a major goal this season, I feel we can cause a major upset and take out Real Madrid in the quarters, I also feel we can go out and get hammered 6-0 !
If the suns shining and the wind blows in the right direction, we may win our biggest game in many a season.

Yep, Benfica are as good as it get outside of the Elite and having only lost twice in all competitions so far this season, both away from home, so this is a toughie. Only Celtic and Valencia have managed draws in Portugal both 0-0.
Yes we go into this as favourites but only marginal. I will be happy to take them back to our place and get the job done there.
Going to Portugal with the aim to win could be suicidal. Steven's side has no weak spots and no overly real strong area (apart from keeper). So it'll be about focusing on our strengths.

First quarter final in a long long time for Benfica, the Estadio da Luz atmosphere will be red hot for this one! Hopefully the hostile crowd will put the Bayern prima donnas off their game.. ; )

Very cagey game against Valencia, not much happened of note in the whole game but scraped through on pens, that's all that counts at this stage... unlucky Valencia.

Was always going to be tough to score goals against Villa and when Huddlestone saw red I thought we were going to be dumped out the cup but fortunately we anticipated the possibility of pens and got some more attacking players on before the final whistle.
Very pleased to go through. Put the cups to one side last year to get out of div 3 but back to taking them seriously this year and on we go to the quarters.
Nice draw for us and hoping for at least one upset in the other fixtures....although in the FA Cup we've beaten the giants before....!
