As we have over the past few weeks we again went out looking to control the game from the start and hit Bremen on the break, it worked like a dream as we were 3 up and in control by half time. The only negative point is that it's a shame we seemed to go to sleep in the 2nd half until Damjanovic got the fourth in the 90th minute but I think the lads all had one eye on the midweek cup game against Barcelona and didn't want to get injured. Another bonus is that the draws in Lyon and Marseille both helped us close the gap on 2nd to just 6 points.

Set up with D against Benfica to try and stifle them in the hope that we might be able to nick a point.
Conceding to their first shot on goal wasn't in the game plan though! As soon as we went 1 down the tactics were set up to be a bit more adventurous but the quality of the Benfica team then showed as they were able to dominate.
Easy game v Roma next week.

Probably a fair result at the Stade de Gerland. Roma are a tough team to beat and we had to rest our best defender and best striker for the FA Cup Quarter Final in mid-week. So probably a good result considering although after our first league defeat last week we were hoping to bounce back.
Celtic and Feyenoord close the gap so our playoff place is certainly less comfortable than this time last week....!

The lads went out there and showed just what we are about! I'm also happy with the 100% record (We'll see for how long).
They showed fight and determination for their new manager and we set up with a new formation. Once we were ahead we managed to hold onto the lead and claim the vital 3 points we were aiming for. A strong deserved home victory hopefully laments Estadio Reyno de Navarra as a fortress for Osasuna.
Counter attacking football at home is the way to go!
Tough game away to Celtic next week though!
