Well done again to Benfica and now Lyon join them in the big time, Marseille ended the season with a draw, one of ten that has truly cost them automatic promotion
they will now have to do it the hard way via the play off's but should overcome Feyenoord over two legs to reach the final where Celtic FC or AS Roma will await them.
Werder Bremen stay up in clinical fashion as once great Juventus topple down another division as Loba continues to rebuild in the hope the glory days may once again return.
Arsenal were always going to struggle these last few weeks after loosing there keeper and Tottenham also go down which for a new manager might not be a bad thing as they find there feet in the bottom division.
should be a very interesting season again (season 20) with Rangers FC, FC Porto, Valencia and Aberdeen all joining the mix!

Well we dragged it out over the last couple of weeks but finally we made it. Great to end on a good result against the champions and getting promotion completes the turnaround I started 5 seasons ago when we were bottom of division 3.
And on that note, Abbott departs the Stade de Gerland having achieved what he set out to.
It will be tough for whoever comes in to take over. Although there are sides in Elite that are beatable (at least on paper). I think it would be best to spend the summer building up the stadium and then just using the existing squad to try to survive in the division so next "summer" there is a decent war-chest to improve the squad. Although no doubt the incoming manager will have their own ideas.
Skybet are offering odds of 5-1 on Raggett following a declaration of interest already and Bayern potentially being a spent force. Second favourite at 7-1 is Chris at AS Roma after heated words with the board recently, despite being quoted as not showing interest.

Well done Neil you've got Lyon playing some great football so fully deserve to go up, it's just a shame you won't be able to carry on the job!
As for us, our game didn't mean much and I think the players knew it as we never really turned and AC Milan took full advantage. Didn't help we went down to 10 men just after half time either.
Well done Mike.

Well played Theo! An amazing season with complete dominance! It'll be great to have you in the Elite next season! Another outstanding performance is Lyon! It's a great shame to see Neil leaving, but he couldn't have built a better platform for whoever succeeds him. It's a tough call between Marseille and Celtic. Marseille have always been there or thereabouts and have the experience of the top division. Celtic have been developing quietly in the lower leagues and are more than capable of competing in the Elite. Feyenoord and AS Roma are also in contention for promotion. Neither side have shown much form of late, but on the night anything can happen. Best of luck to all four sides competing in the play-offs!
