Here we are with a summary of first team strengths based on primary skill and 442:
Marseille 39-111-107-54 = 311
Porto 36-104-106-53 = 299
Rangers 29-104-107-51 = 291
Aberdeen 35-101-104-50 = 290
Villa 39-99-97-50 = 285
Schalke 33-100-100-51 = 284
Werder 35-97-99-50 = 281
Valencia 37-101-92-49 = 279
Milan 35-100-95-48 = 278
Osasuna 30-98-98-49 = 275
Feyenoord 37-89-95-47 = 268
Roma 28-92-98-48 = 266
Marseille and Porto look very strong for promotion. The standard of keepers is very high - only Rangers, Osasuna and Roma without a real quality GK. It will be interesting to see if Rangers' keeper is their downfall, as otherwise they have a very strong outfield. Roma are on a rebuild - can they hang on in the middle tier?
Aberdeen have been quiet on the transfer front. My vision for the club has always been to build up a conveyor belt, with one or two quality youngsters coming in at the bottom each season and working their way up the club. Finally I seem to have got there. Our signings so far won't raise many eyebrows. Atsu (nearly 23 rated AM at age 21) was a bargain at 9M, I think he was overlooked because he's nearly a first teamer but I'm prepared to give him game time in my first team rotation once he hits skill 23. Muirhead (age 18 skill 18.4 striker) was almost a joke at under 2M - most managers wouldn't give him the time of day, but I'm confident that after 3-4 seasons in the reserves he will be ready to join the first team front line. I still really want to add a quality 18yo DF and am prepared to pay a good price...
We finally said farewell to veteran striker Lovell who has been a first teamer since the club's formation in season 4. Retiring this season will be club captain Le Tissier who has been here since season 7. So an era is already passing in the club, and I need to keep that conveyor belt working well.
Good luck everyone...
