That has to rank as one of our greatest performances during my time in EFL. Straight out of the Liverpool playbook of course! Right on cue we got the early goal and went D, but then what wasn't in the plan was not one but two red cards in the first half. Bayern really should have got back into the game but they didn't get it together, maybe John was playing low Agg. So, an amazing night for the travelling fans. Tough on Porto as they've recorded two very sound wins, but it's the two freak results in the first round that have decided who goes through.

The one think I've learnt is how dam powerful D really is. My agg was in double figures so not low. So to have tactical plus home advantage against 9 men and not really look like scoring is something. The 2nd half just vanished. We had a very strong side out that 2nd half as well, thought I'd be sure to get at least a draw when coming out for 2nd half.

Great result for us, through to the next round after whipping Malky's sorry lot , and we topped the group so a surprise home tie in the next round, happy days ! Man city knocked out the cup after an inspired substitution, bringing their top keeper off and putting 1 rated Negredo in between the sticks, inspired move mate, and you question my managerial know how !! He pulled off a few saves to be fair and gained some abs Monster win for Barca and unlucky Santos after a big win.

Really glad Rangers FC won this match because we were starting to get obsessed with there results every week, i sometimes checked there result first praying that they would win just so Gazza wouldnt go deeper into that black hole he found himself in. he was questioning everything, tactics, formation, shape of the ball, could the EFL gods be against his team? we dont do walking away was the call again before the grudge match versus Liverpool, a name that makes him choke by even saying it, how can this small pitiful club be sitting at the top table of EFL, eating from the same silver platter as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern? so after the dust settled, Rangers FC stand victorious, but wait...are my eyes mistaken? was that 5-4-1 C Rangers FC lined up with? did they win the match 1-0? after sitting up all night coming up with a master plan to beat the very team that mean so little to my fellow manager, he copies our tactics!!! Nooooooooo!!!! so banter aside, we accept defeat, we didnt deserve anything from the match, 0 shots at goal, but very happy to be in the 2nd Round Draw along with the diddy team near the bottom of Division One

Great performance too from Man Utd, they've beaten both the Div 1 pack leaders in their group and go through as surprise runners up behind Real. I think Andie may have shot himself in the foot though by trying to play 6 up front...

Why didn't you try something new Malky, and play your young forward ? As 'I copied your tactics' you could have tried mine, played a few young uns, thought you were trying to build a team ? What is it Liverpool are planning ? Thought my lot turning you over would have been expected, didn't expect the rant

Fantastic win for us against Arsenal. Unfortunately it was marred by another red card. We seem to pick one up every other match, and if we don't, we get an injury instead.
