We got absolutely hammered, Corchia sent off topped it off. Everything collapsed for us on the pitch, trying to play a higher tempo game clearly didn't work. However, we somehow manage to stay up through a miracle!
Marseille complete the come back and take the title though! Well done to them

Shocker from Osasuna, dodgy looking set up and scoreline, don't deserve your 1st division place after that score, you could have at least did me a favour and helped me get a play off spot.
Your grounded !!

Happy with our own performance this season, personally thought we have done well on all fronts. Think it's Porto's play off's to lose if honest.

Hardest league in the land, just look at the points, ayone can beat anyone.
I know we say it abou tthe elite but look at the top 4 points haul compareed to here.
What does that say about the leads coming up?
Marseille have been there, have they ever survived more than 2 seasons?
Villa, well if they stay up, I'll be surprised!
Both well done.
Rangers, carry on their rebuild, might be a new goverment in by the tie they finish!

Classic stuff at the Veladrome, an early goal ramping up the tension, three red cards as tempers boiled over, both sides really wanting the title. Villa hit the bar in the 89th minute, a couple of inches lower and the ribbons would have been claret and blue instead. But Marseille held on to record their 8th straight league win and claim the title in style. Villa pipped to the title for the second season in a row, but that won't matter a bit to John, the club has never been out of Div 2 before this season, so to make it to Elite is an amazing achievement. A comfortable home win for Valencia means there is no last minute escape for Roma, a shame cos I know Chris and Scott were looking forward to going head to head next season. Ah well, there's still the cup. Schalke had a go, but they had nothing to play for and couldn't really raise their game. Porto edged it against Rangers, earning a comfortable playoff spot while Gers missed out by the narrowest of margins. Disappointing for Gazza, but mate you're not ready for Elite again yet are you? What can only be described as a freak result at Osasuna, but that shouldn't take away from a fantastic Werder performance which sees them scrape into the playoffs. Could they be back in Elite for the first time since season 6? Dillon was so fed up at 5-0 down that he brought his keeper off and replaced him with a striker: Min. 64 :(osa) It looks like the manager is going to make a few changes to his side. ... N_Gomes will come on for A_Guaita and play FW It looks like Gomes really did play rush goalie, registering two shots and also plucking the ball from the bar in the 70th minute. And so to my last game in charge. Pretty typical of our season really - 16-4 shots on target, but 20 saves and another man of the match award for the opposing keeper. And they hit the bar in the 86th minute - it could have been worse. At least we were spared finishing bottom. As John has said, this is a super competitive division, and it only takes a couple of mistakes, and a bit of bad luck, to tip the scales against you. I guess as many have said, the main mistake was not signing a top drawer striker. We have the top two passers in the division, four in total in the top 10, but only 3 clubs have scored fewer goals. We say farewell to club captain M_Le_Tissier, a shame for him to go out on a low but he has been a fantastic servant to the club. Last season he found the net 9 times, this season it's only once, which shows how much tougher the team has found life in Div 1. So generally I think the club is left in good shape, the defence and midfield are strong, we have a good keeper even though I finally let go of Flowers, there are a few good youths coming through and there is plenty of cash in the kitty. The glaring gap is a top level forward, and hopefully the new manager will sort that out straight away.

Glad to have turned my poor start around and win 8 on the bounce! Gave villa a very good lead but new I had a chance when they started dropping points, even though a few people were calling for me to stand down(won't mention names) we carried on and went a bit more attacking which seemed to do well
Game vs villa Was not surprised to see them set up for the draw, was hoping we could have a proper slug out for the title but wasn't to be so the 1-0 win will do
Now for the big test!

Firstly congrats to Marseille wonderful comeback (although you should never have had too). im still happy would have been great to win the league but I cant moan at back to back promotions!! Don't think many people would have picked Villa at the start of the season to get promotion so just glad to prove alot of people wrong. On to the game against Marseille, I think the better team on the day lost but that stuff happens maybe if I had 2 forwards on from the start we might of done better. again well done Marseille and good luck all those in the playoffs................. unlucky Rangers

Your grounded !! You've only got yourself to thank for that. Shocking goal difference for your boys. Switched to a more cagey defensive style when relegation was on the cards, but the main reason for the poor goal difference is my strikers not doing the business, plus I spent time trying to develop the young lesser rated forwards, some would say its cost me a potential place in Elite, but others could say its saved me a drop in divisions, truth be told the 1st division is my standard at the moment.
