Two teams are currently in debt according to the finance spreadsheet. Atletico Madrid are playing at home and should be in black, but Liverpool are playing away from home and should be further into the red. I'm not sure if finances are up to date, but for situations like this, it's vital that it is. We've had teams punished in the past and can't let this slip.

I'm not sure how up-to-date the finances are, but if they are current Chelsea will surley follow these clubs into debt. They show a credit balance of £320,000 ish and their next two games are away.

Finances are now up to date after game 12, they were up to date on site (which is what u were looking at) for the week ending game 11 and you are correct with the following teams Liverpool - 1,569,402Chelsea - 622,211Atletico Madrid - 1,122,911now the problem is that the transfer market is now closed so teams cant sell players to other clubs to get out of debt they can however use one of the following options to get out of debt before the next league match 1. release players for cash back to the league 2. decrease there stadium capacity which has always been an option (rules state pre season) but this could be classed as an emergency) where clubs get 500,000 for every 1000 seats sold back.. malkymckay.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=help&action=display&thread=327

Would you allow any early transfers - whereby the clubs get the money now but the players dont move till EOS?

I thought they had to have a player auctioned? its never got that far scott, that was never a rule just an idea, you have to give the manager one week to try and get out of debt on there own

if one of the options is to release players can we still offer release free for these players now that the transfer window is closed, as they have technically not been offered for sale or are these taken out the game altogether, or can we offer cash for them but get them end of season and cash is released straight away

We always said that the problem with debt, is, when the transfer market is CLOSED!
I didnt know there was an option on cashing in seats? But i suppose it is an option! But i must admit we can only build at the start of the season, so why down grade any time?
As far as releasing players is concerned, it's as simple as this: Its still a transfer of sorts, we carnt do it, so why is that an option?
We suggested that it was, either Best player sold or put up for auction, to stop managers getting into debt. or Last in, first out. Approach!
I personally think there should be strict guidlines regarding this?
Alot of us do put a bit of time working out our finances, income vs wage, In general if you want a top end team you need to pay there wages, like in real life! If you go into debt then there is usually a penalty?
Anyway if reducing stadium sizes is the way to do it, fair enough! I for one find it intresting to see how that'll pan out!
Chelsea (40,00) -622,211 Liverpool (40,00) -1,569,402 Atletico Madrid -1,122,911 (35,00)
£500,000 per 1000 seats.
Btw how much is it to buy them back?

Buying seats will always be the same price, even if you sold some to raise funds:
Seats can be bought for the following amounts
35,000 - 50,000 = 1 million per 1000 seats 50,001 - 75,000 = 1.5 million per 1000 seats 75,001 - 100,000 = 2 million per 1000 seats 100,001 + = 3 million per 1000 seats
To A Maximum Capacity Of 150,000
