Hi Lads
hopefully we can bring in another two managers before the start of the new season, if we can all help by asking around
if the worst comes to the worst and we have to start with two unmanaged clubs then i would rather put two care taker managers in place to control these clubs, ie rotate the squad to keep fitness levels normal and select match day team, formation, tactics etc
no transfers
if you would be interested please leave your name below, no managers from the same division can manage these clubs
Lyon & AC Milan
cheers

I'm happy to be a caretaker for either of the two clubs.

Honestly can't think of any reason why experienced managers aren't allowed to do " Scout missions and a couple of transfers for the good of the club "
Look what happened when I took over Hearts for pre season for example ...
Hearts were on the edge of folding with high skill & retiring players etc:
Loads of people 'moaned about my transfer policy at the time' (meanwhile I was looking at the big picture)
Got a few youngsters in and sold some very high profile players etc:
Guess what 2 seasons later they are still in the Elite league - with the players brought in stabilising the Squad ...
That is what a caretaker manager should do !!!
I know it's in the past now but I feel in myself that I saved Hearts from extinction & Matias ( a very experienced manager from the old days ) has taken the mantle on ...
But Matias should take the credit for slowly but surely building the club on from a very ordinary Elite team ...
FROM
Pezza who went all out for glory with the Pom saving from extinction to Matias who has established an Elite team who are very well established now ...
That is what a caretaker manager should do !!!
Otherwise an inexperienced manager comes in and ' certain managers ' take advantage of the situation ...

So the lets say the caretaker manager uses all the scouting mission and does a load of transfers then what is left for a new manager to do?
I took over Villa two seasons ago and I hope there was no caretaker manager before me!! As then I would look at it as my success, where if a caretaker manager had done a lot of it how could a new manager take the credit for it?
The new manager can also ask for advice just like I did regarding my goalie I had no clue at the time if Soresen was any good and lots of clubs wanted him. I seeked advice before any choice was made and look at me now top of the elite league as I write this!
Also going off what happens in real life a caretaker manager doesn't make any signings its the board that do that the caretaker is there to manage what he has until a new manager comes in and then he takes them in the direction he wants too not the direction of some bit part manager.

I wasn't looking at signing any players, apart from the scouts. I wanted to get the scouts in before the season started to ensure they'd maximise their ability gain. It'd be a shame to miss out on half a season on abs for the next manager. The other dealings I did was simply auction off some players who'll never be used. The squad had about 10 strikers in the first team.
